<p>1. The first thing you must do that most people forget is to keep healthy fats in your diet. Healthy fats are an essential component in properly burning fat and building muscle hormones in your body. They are also reduce the cravings you get when you eat ‘nonsense’ food.</p>
<p>The best sources of healthy fats are found in egg yolk (organic free range eggs recommended), nuts, seeds, avocados, grass-fed meats (excellent source of conjugated linoleic acid, helps burn body fat &amp; build muscle), extra virgin olive oil (the highest rated antioxidant contained by any olive oil) are just a few sources of healthy fats.</p>
<p>A helpful tip to try throughout the day is eating a handful of raw nuts (something you can handle – almonds and pecans are good choices) 30 minutes before any major meal. This will reduce your appetite for the unhealthy fatty foods while providing your body with a great source of protein, fibre, and healthy fats so your calorie intake will decrease while increasing your nutritional value.</p>
<p>2. The second important thing you must do is eat high quality protein with each of your major meals. Plant products such as nuts and beans are excellent sources that provide good protein, suppress appetites and allow you to control your calorie intake.</p>
<p>Lean muscle is also created from quality protein diets if you exercise regularly which allows your metabolism to increase because of your lean muscle, which in turn creates fat burning mechanisms.</p>
<p>Blood sugar and insulin levels are affected by protein. Eating quality proteins regularly helps slow the breakdown on carbs which lowers blood sugar and gives your body a healthy balance.</p>
<p>3. I don’t completely support low-card diets because of the importance they place in everyone’s lives – but one of the main reasons individuals struggle to lose weight is because of overeating of excessive processed carbs like grain starches and manipulated (refined) sugars.</p>
<p>Fruits and berries have natural sugars, which are helpful because of the fibre they hold that slows the blood sugar response in the human body. However, fruit juices have the fibre removed, and are just simple sugars, a beverage you should want to avoid and no overuse.</p>
<p>A general trend most health experts see is when individuals minimize their grain intake (cereals, pasta, bread etc) they lose the weight they were looking for much easier than trying harder methods. Focusing your carb intakes on fruits and veggies instead of grains is an easy way to start losing weight.</p>

Heaven knows there’s no shortage of advertisements, websites and product manufacturers encouraging you to try the latest, greatest fat loss miracle. Companies, and some individuals, make millions of dollars promoting these schemes to the unwary. The truth is, it would be a miracle if anyone was able to lose weight and keep it off permanently without either, wasting their money, or risking their health with these products and schemes.</p>
<p>Here’s a list of the worst ways you can choose to lose weight.</p>
<p>Starvation – This seems like one of the simplest ways to get weight to come off. I mean, not eating means you’re not ingesting any calories or fat, right? True. It also means that you’re literally starving your body of much needed nutrients it needs in order to function properly.</p>
<p>Most people who try to go the starvation route quickly find out that it’s hard to maintain for more than a few days. Not eating enough can lead to mental fogginess, feeling cranky and moody, and loss of energy. Who can get everything they need to do in the day done when they feel like this?</p>
<p>Plus, the worst part is that by denying your body the calories it needs, it will actually slow down your metabolism. You know what that means, right? Your body will not be able to burn fat efficiently. Instead, it will hold onto every single calorie you put into your body. Know why?</p>

<p>Diet pills have been around for decades, so you’d think that they would have a reputation for being so effective that most people would be slim and trim. Yet, here we are – fatter than ever.</p>
<p>Many people, who struggle with their weight, just don’t want to face the idea that it may take some actual work to drop those pounds. Instead, they desperately look for quick fixes, and there’s no quicker fix than popping a diet pill. <p>HCG Injections – Some people have resorted to taking hormone injections to lose weight. While our bodies naturally contain hormones, introducing any type of hormonal drugs into your body is really risky. <p>If you’re really serious about your health, there are smart ways to lose weight that don’t involve putting your body, and long-term well being, at risk. Losing weight takes real commitment, and yes – time. Many people who try things on the bad list just don’t want to hear this. They want to take shortcuts.</p>
<p>Well, again, if these shortcuts really worked, there wouldn’t be so many of these same people constantly trying to lose weight.</p>
