If you run long distances and eat 5 small meals a day with little processed sugar, you will lose alot of weight. Both you need both.
Thanks for this video! I think most runners run not to lose weight but to maintain weight and also to challenge themselves. While I don’t find running necessarily “fun” I do find it hard and very challenging. And challenging myself IS fun. Improving is fun too! Racing is extremely popular as is running marathons. People run marathons for the mental and physical challenge that it provides. True, running/cardio does not equate to weight loss, however, not everyone finds running to be boring.
whatever. just run. the only way to get better at running…… is to just run. people love to come up with easier ways to lose weight, but it doesnt work as well. just run.
I cannot agree enough with everything you said. One year ago I was in the best shape of my life. I could have done step-aerobics for 4 hours, but when it came to running I couldn’t get half a mile without my MP3 player. I HATE RUNNING! I get dancer’s high but when I finish running, I just feel like crap and thinking that I’ll never loose weight. Cardiovascular endurance is just as vital as muscle, but I strongly suggest aerobics. It doesn’t put as much strain on your joints or mid-section.
I run for an hour and 20 minutes at 11kph burrning 1200 calories. It certainly works.
