Atkins Diet Quick Hits – How do I start?
I am starting a new series of videos based upon the questions or comments I have received either privately or in the comments section. Each of these videos will be targeted to answering that question or issue in short, less than 3 minutes video. I am hoping that these videos can be used as a Frequently Asked Question about the Atkins Diet or Low Carb in general. In this video, I deal with a question I receive often. How do I start or restart the diet? I come up with three specific …
Dieting with caloric deficiency can certainly be damaging, but eating right is hardly going to damage their growth. “trust me, certain fats are VITAL for you at your age” which certain fats are eliminated on the Atkins Diet, a diet that encourages the intake of fat?
There is no reason to keep encouraging someone to eat junk (added refined sugars, HFCS, white bread) because they are young. These products do nothing for one’s health. No one is ever too young to learn a healthy lifestyle.
No, at 14 you are still growing. Aside from eating smart and lots of excersize I would strongly urge you not to do ANY dieting unless posed with real health problems. I say this coming from a medical background, trust me, certain fats are VITAL for you at your age. Worry about your weight when you turn 20 and remember to ALWAYS see a doctor before starting a diet (especially atkins) Believe me, dieting can be very damaging at a young age if not properly informed of the risks and side effects.
Yes, it is, but I recommend starting at the OWL phase rather than Induction. Check out my Atkins Diet Is it for kids and teens video. You might not need or should do the 20g per ketogenic levels, but you can certainly do the carb conscious latter phases.
im 14 is the aktins good for young people ¿
I agree – some people should not do low carb. (Ones with no carb senstivity, people not looking to make lifestyle change) It just doesn’t agree with some people’s choices, and they would be better served elsewhere. That said, I think all people could stand to reduce the excess added sugar in their diet without detriment.
Good luck!
